oh the weather outside is frightful!

We got our first real snow fall in my corner of this big old world.  Kinda early for us to actually get a couple inches of accumulation - normally we get ICE storms instead of snow storms around here until the beginning of January.  But as I'd rather have snow than ice, I'm not complaining!  It started snowing late Friday night and I woke up to a blanket of white and more and more coming down!  I took a super long walk in it Saturday morning, then packed up my dog and some of her things (sometimes I feel like having a dog is like having a kid, did I remember some treats? a bone? should I bring her bed? etc.  ha!) and we drove over to my parents house so she could run and play in their huge yard.  Rory, my pup, LOVES the snow!  I ended up packing pajamas, blankets, and my pillow to take over there too!  Rory played outside and my mother and I stayed toasty warm while we watched a movie.  (The movie was Eat Pray Love and it was incredibly boring and blah... don't see it.  We both fell asleep.)  I stayed at my parents most of the morning/afternoon and then brought my dog back home, where she promptly passed out from too much fun in the snow, and then I headed to the local bar (home away from home) to meet up with my friendlies to watch college football.  A fellow bar goer took all the snow off the deck and made a SNOW BEAST (a snow-woman with huge boobs, cigarette butts for teeth, and a face like Mickey Rourke.  interesting to say the least!).  We had an adult snow day hanging out and generally being assholes.  It was a great Saturday. 

And now it's a lazy Sunday.  My dog is still exhausted from her big snow day yesterday.  I'm rather exhausted too.  Hope y'all are staying warm wherever you are!!!
