mister.

Hey there.  That's my mister.  In case you were curious.  I tease him about this picture.  It's his WVU student card picture.  Doesn't he look like he should be in a boy band with that hair and cocky smile?  I asked him today if I could blog this picture.  He said, "sure thing darlin'! say something nice."  So something nice I will say.

He goes by many other names.  Starting Monday I've been sending him a different eValentine daily with one of his many names.  I will continue this until the actual Vday.  He was in an 80s cover band in college to make money.  He loves talking about those days and using his "80s voice."  He's a runner.  He can play any instrument he puts in his hands - and tries to learn a new one every year.  He's a poet.  He loves to read and has a heart for teaching.  He's the most selfless person I've ever encountered in my life.  I'm constantly amazed by this.  He likes to craft with me.  He's so very patient.  Especially when I'm frustrated because I can't articulate what I'm thinking or feeling in my head/heart (I'm not good with words).  He can fix almost anything - my favorite project I've witnessed was a midnight fixing of one of my crappy end tables.  He loves spending time with my parents.  We've spent many a weekend playing board games with mama.  He crocheted mama a scarf and won his way into her heart - he doesn't win at board games though.  I win those.  Or mom does.  He's incredibly funny (as in, spit-your-drink-outta-your-mouf-cuz-youre-laughin-so-hard funny - I've witnessed it).  He makes me want to be a better person.  He makes me feel like I'm becoming a better person.  I feel like the best "me" when I'm around him.  We hold the same values.  We have goals.  We're kind of ridiculously in sync with each other.  And head over heels.  He has dance parties with me.  And he's super good at giving massages and snuggling.  Like if those were pro-sports - he'd be one of the first people recruited to the best team.  (I think that's what I mean, I don't watch pro-sports, or sports, so I don't really know.  Let's say - he'd win a gold medal?  I watch the olympics.  duh.)  I can't say enough nice things about him.  He's my valentine. :)

... so there you go.
